Call for Birthday Cards

Posted on 8.14.12
Did you know we celebrate our clients’ birthdays? Since the very beginning of Open Arms, we’ve sent a birthday cake and card to each client on their special day. We send out almost 1,000 birthday cakes annually!

We’re looking to replenish our supply of birthday cards, either store-bought or homemade, so we can continue to celebrate our clients’ special days.
If you would like to purchase cards, please select cards without any religious messages or symbols, as our clients all celebrate their spirituality in different ways.

If you would like to create cards for our clients, here are some guidelines to follow:

1. Please do not sign the card or write anything except “Happy Birthday!”
2. Please don’t use glitter or other items that may fall off of the card during delivery.
3. Have fun, be creative and use lots of color!
Cards can be dropped off at our building in Minneapolis. If you have any questions, contact Ellen, our Volunteer Services Associate. Thank you for helping us celebrate the lives of our clients!
