As I was growing up, one activity my dad and I would always enjoy doing together was making smoothies. We would find random ingredients throughout our kitchen and mix them in the blender and see what our concoction tasted like. Sometimes they weren’t the greatest tasting, but the below recipe is sure to be a great one.

You can never go wrong with a berry smoothie. It is not only delicious (which is a huge plus!), but it is filled with many nutrients. Berries are filled with antioxidants, which are natural substances that can help prevent cell damage. They can help fight cancer as well as lower blood pressure. Not only do berries have these health benefits, but they also help boost heart health and help control weight due to their high liquid and fiber content.

To increase your berry consumption try the below recipe as either a snack or quick breakfast item. Just think of all the good you are providing your body with by having this smoothie!
