Dear friends,
After more than a decade with Open Arms, Deputy Director Jennifer Van Wyk is leaving her role as a staff member. We are pleased to announce that she will stay in the Open Arms family as a consultant working on several key projects for us.
Jen has been instrumental in leading the organization through times of growth and change. Her contributions to the progress and expansion of Open Arms are innumerable, and her leadership in making this new building a reality was priceless.
In the next exciting phase of Jen’s life, she will launch her own consulting business and, we hope, spread her expertise far and wide.
She will continue to plan the annual Open Arms Golf Classic, and she will lead an exciting new venture at Open Arms – the development of earned income streams. From catering events to selling boxed lunches, Jen will help Open Arms figure out ways to use our building to its full potential and create new income to help fund our programs. New streams of earned income will translate into Open Arms being able to help more clients and continue to grow!
We feel so lucky that Jen will continue to use her considerable talents to further Open Arms’ mission. Please feel free to continue to contact Jen at her Open Arms email ([email protected]) or stop in to see her.
I am personally so glad I get to continue to work side by side with Jen in her new role. And I know I speak for all of us in wishing her the best of luck in her new consulting adventures!
