In what will be a landmark moment in the storied history of Open Arms, we are set to open our second location in St. Paul later this fall. In June, Open Arms proudly announced the public phase of its capital campaign entitled “Opening Our Arms Wider to Nourish Our Neighbors” aimed at increasing the organization’s ability to nourish critically ill Minnesotans and their families in need. You can find the full press release HERE.
Below is a more in-depth look at the capacity building a location in St. Paul will do for Open Arms and its community.
GEOGRAPHY
The St. Paul Kitchen & Campus will immediately give Open Arms the ability to better serve the east metro by expanding our delivery zone beyond the current 494/694 corridor.
SHIPPING
The dedicated shipping infrastructure at the St. Paul Kitchen & Campus will give Open Arms the capacity to double the scope of its shipping program by 2025.
MEALS
The St. Paul Kitchen & Campus will give us the capacity to increase meal production by 30% in three years.
CLIENTS
The expansion to St. Paul gives Open Arms the capacity and ability to serve an even greater client base through our core nutrition program.
FREEZER & STORAGE EXPANSION
The St. Paul Kitchen & Campus will increase refrigeration/freezer capacity by 50% and by creating our largest freezer ever, will allow us to store 60,000 meals.
