Decade Celebration Honors Open Arms' Most dedicated Volunteers
Open Arms of Minnesota brought back one of its most beloved annual events on Thursday, Jan. 5, hosting its Decade Celebration at the Minneapolis Kitchen and Campus. Formerly known as the Decade Dinner and not held in person since before the COVID-19 pandemic, the event celebrated the unwavering commitment of our most devoted volunteer community members who have passionately served our mission for a decade or more.
More than 100 individuals with a combined experience of well over 50,000 hours volunteering with Open Arms were in attendance to honor the volunteers who reached the 10-year milestone. In the decade from 2014-2024, Open Arms has delivered more than seven million meals, recorded more than 645,000 volunteer hours, and harvested upwards of 100,000 vegetables and herbs at its Open Farms locations. There are currently 240 members of Open Arms’ decade club.
On behalf of everyone at Open Arms, congratulations and thank you to our longtime volunteers. You are truly the heart and soul of our community. You can check out the full photo gallery from the event HERE.
