YESvember 2024

YESvember

November is a magical month for Open Arms of Minnesota. Since 2015, Open Arms has turned NOvember into YESvember for all our clients across Minnesota. We are not only preparing and delivering medically tailored meals to our critically ill neighbors, but we’re also cooking Thanksgiving feasts, packaging delicious holiday treats, and working extra hard alongside our incredible volunteers to meet the increased number of meal requests throughout the holiday season. It’s a busy time, but it’s our favorite time of year too! There is always indescribable energy mixed with the smell of home-cooked meals permeating throughout our facilities.

To meet November’s high demand and ensure our clients and their loved ones receive extra love throughout Thanksgiving and the holidays, we need your support. This year, we need your help in providing Thanksgiving feasts for up to 1,500 clients. Please help support our Turkey Drive and other YESvember opportunities so we can ensure our critically-ill neighbors have a lovely Thanksgiving feast this year!

4 Ways You Can Help

1. Donate

A $95 donation provides a Thanksgiving meal to a client. For $285, you can purchase a flock of turkeys, which provides three Thanksgiving meals. Click HERE to donate.

2. Start a Turkey Drive Fundraiser

Start a TURKEY DRIVE DONATION PAGE and encourage your friends and family to donate. Receive prizes when you unlock badges! Learn more about Turkey Drive HERE.

3. Volunteer

Volunteers are needed to help prepare, package, and deliver meals at our kitchen in South Minneapolis the weeks of Nov. 18 and Nov 25. Sign up for a volunteer shift HERE or email us at [email protected] if you haven’t volunteered with us before.

4. Spread the Word

Help us spread the word about our Turkey Drive by posting on social media! We have everything you need to promote the event in our Turkey Drive Toolkit!
