Join us at our Minneapolis Kitchen & Campus on December 1st, from 5-7 p.m., for our inaugural World AIDS Day Drag Happy Hour! This extraordinary event guarantees an evening filled with entertainment, enlightenment, and advocacy. As we gather, we aim to acknowledge and stand by our clients who are impacted by HIV/AIDS. Indulge in delectable cuisine, savor signature cocktails, and engage in meaningful discussions while our glamorous performers captivate you with their talent and charisma. They’ll also shed light on the enduring struggles faced by those impacted by HIV/AIDS and how Open Arms plays a pivotal role in offering support. Join us for an enchanting and benevolent night where, together, we can make a meaningful impact.
Our dazzling performers for the evening include Ruby Jewel Cassadine, Lady Cummeal Cassadine, Rustina Phoenix-Nuttz, and Sainte Reign! The event will be accompanied by the beats of DJ Daddy Rox.
Tickets for the event are $86 and include 2 drink tickets, heavy appetizers made from scratch by Open Arms’ chefs, and a free valet.
Open Arms traces its roots back to 1986 when community members cooked and delivered meals to our neighbors affected by the devastating consequences of HIV/AIDS. Today, we take great pride in our enduring commitment to inclusivity, welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds as we unite to deliver food as medicine, nourish our clients, and foster a sense of community. We express our deep gratitude for our community members who wholeheartedly embrace their true selves, and we stand as allies with our LGBTQ+ and BIPOC neighbors. On World AIDS Day, we also pay tribute to the cherished individuals we’ve lost along this journey.
Proceeds will support medically tailored meals for people with life-threatening illnesses, including HIV/AIDS, at no cost to Open Arms’ clients.
Thank you for your support and we hope to see you on December 1!
